                                      Hello class,       Thanks again for visiting my blog site. This semester we have learned a lot about digitally-mediated teaching and learning approaches. We have learned how to blog, markup images, podcast, code, and much more. Everything we have learned this semester will benefit my future students. As future educators, we can use these learning approaches to develop our students in ways that I did not think about before taking this course. While I understood technology can develop young minds, I always disliked the idea of technology. Learning about technology at a young age, helps children grow and learn. Young learners can use technology to explore new worlds, make believe, and actively engage in fun and challenging activities.  Hello class and welcome back!! This weeks class was intriguing. I enjoyed learning how to use technology in writing and my favorite part was learning how to code. What was yours?  The goal of our Design Unit Plan is to design a process mediated by digital technologies and to include an example of product of learning that students would create in the unit of instruction. Our unit plan is very similar to Project Based Learning. The tips proposed by Pappas (2015) were quite an interesting read. Project Based Learning is something we should all incorporate into our future classroom. This type of learning gives students the opportunity to develop skills through real world problems. Learners are able to conduct research, collaborate in group discussions, and share feedback. Several tips were given in the reading that relates well to our design unit plan. The first thing that stood out to me was real-problem simulation. Real world problems often tend to stick to our minds better than a lectu

  Welcome back for another blog post,      I have attached my Vocaroo link down below. I hope you guys enjoy my first ever podcast. My interest that I talked about was Cricut design. Crafting has become a huge part of relaxation for me(:  https://voca.ro/1hPemMzbCRtr     Podcasting is a recording of audio discussion on a specific topic. This dynamic is a great way to deliver daily or weekly inspiration wherever the audience may be. Podcast can be a variety of different things, not just inspirational values. The goal is to target what your audience wants to hear. The cool thing about podcasting is that it can be streamed from anywhere. (your car, your house, your job, etc). I have never gotten into listening to podcast, but I may have to try it out pretty soon.      I enjoyed reading about the connected learning framework this week. Welcome back,      This week in class we learned a lot new and exiting skills. We talked about ISTE Student Standard and Digital Citizenship as well as played around with Google sites. I enjoyed rewriting the standards in student terms. Check out what I came up with:      Digital Footprint: I can manage my online identity and understand that there are severe consequences if not managed properly. ** Online Behavior: I can engage in safe and ethical behavior when interacting online.         Intellectual Property: I can understand how to properly give others credit for their work.     Digital Privacy: I can manage my personal data online and understand that everything is tacked when navigating online.       During class we also toured google slides for our upcoming presentation. I enjoyed playing around with all that google slides offers. I can't wait to come up with a website to present to you all with my group. Hello class,     Welcome back to my blog:) This week in class we learned a few new skills that I can't wait to implement in my future classroom. We talked about virtual field rips and video conferencing. I really enjoyed exploring the google arts and culture website while planning a mock virtual field trip for students. It was quite interesting at how man trips I could've came up with just from one site. I definitely plan to use virtual field trips in my future classroom. In opinion, these trips can eliminate the need for transportation, decrease loss instruction times spent on travel, and involve fewer safety concerns for students. I also believe these trips would allow students to make connections and compare previous learned knowledge to the real world. This week in class we also discussed zoom meetings.   Hello class,      Welcome to blog post number two. This week we talked about several different things in class. I enjoyed learning about Prodigy (of course pros and cons) as well as learning how to markup images from google. Enjoy this post as I talk about the two concepts that caught my eye this week.      We learned that Prodigy is a Math based learning game for students who like to compete with their friends while showing what students have learned during the year. There were several pros and cons I noticed while watching the Prodigy video.  Things I like about Prodigy:     - Motivation between students to compete for higher scores     - Being able to track students' progress                - Teachers can adjust their teaching structure depending on what students need help with the most     - Learning tool for Math     - The workload can be considered fun instead of "paper and pen question format     - Can be encouraging for students Things I dislike about Prodigy:     -
